Redwood City is a mid peninsula San Mateo County city. Located north of Menlo Park and south of San Carlos, Redwood City has a population of about 76,000 people. Redwood City is the third most populous city in San Mateo County (behind Daly City and San Mateo), and enjoys the distinction of housing the San Mateo County Courthouse and other county governmental offices (Tax Assessor, Recorder, etc.), as well.
